Article 161.2 (c) of
the Law on Housing 2014 provides that an eligible foreigner can purchase a
property for a term of 50 years from the date of issuance of the Certification
of House Ownership and Land Use Right (Red/ Pink Book). This term is subject to
one-time extension up to 50 years in accordance with Article 77 of the Decree
99/2015/ND-CP.
The foreign organization/investor can own a house with a term in accordance with the purchasing or lease contract or gift affidavit document or will but the term cannot exceed the term from the date of issuance provided for in the Investment Certificate issued to that organization/investor, including the term of extension.
